Healthy Eating Ep3 – How 18 Pounds Got Melted Awa

Healthy Eating Ep.3 – How 18 Pounds Got Melted Away In 18 Months

In the previous episodes, I shared how I became medicine free after having to rely on steroid medicine for 30 years to treat my chronic skin condition, Seborrheic dermatitis.

Also, I shared that, that journey enabled me to lose those stubborn 18Lbs/8Kgs I had never been able to shed before.

If you haven’t watched the previous episodes of this healthy eating video series, watch them first.

As I promised in the last episode, we’ll learn about three simple things you can do immediately to build healthy eating habits.

Number 1. Start your day with the correct mindset.

Everyday is a brand new day. Give your body and mind a jump start by starting your day with the right mindset. Start your day with intention and awareness. Check on where your body and mind are when you wake up.

Step outside to get some fresh air and get your body moving.

It doesn’t have to be anything big. Start with small things. Take a 5 min walk outdoors or smell some flowers or herbs in your garden instead of reaching out for your coffee pot or checking your phone first thing in the morning. Instead, feel the sunshine on your face.

You can get the vitamin D that your body needs by simply stepping outside. There are reasons why the sunshine feels so good on your skin.

These simple acts will set the tone for the rest of your day.

Number 2. Provide the right hydration and nutrition to your body.

CBS reports 75% of Americans may suffer From chronic dehydration. Your body goes through a complex metabolic process while you are sleeping. What you choose to eat and drink in the morning is a crucial component to building your healthy eating habits.

When I wake up in the morning, I drink 2-3 cups of Lion’s mane mushroom tea or RO filtered water with fresh lemon.

Eat a nutrient dense low carb & low sugar breakfast. My go to breakfast is this super green smoothie to supply my body with healthy fats and wholesome green vegetables.

Number 3. Track your progress.

It’s highly important that you track your progress. Because we are hardwired to look for problems, it’s so easy to get hung up on our setbacks and get discouraged. Making mistakes and failing are a natural way of making progress. What’s important is that you learn from your mistakes.

If you keep repeating the same mistakes, you are creating a vicious cycle and are reinforcing bad habits that become hard to break.

Make a food journal. Set aside 5 minutes a day to log your journal. Write down what you eat and drink. Log your progress. We forget ‘mundane’ details faster than we think we do. When I have an inflammation flare-up, I look at the progress that I have made past couple of years. This helps me focus on my progress rather than setbacks so that I can stay motivated.

The journey to regain your health will take time. The more you supply your body and mind with the right nutrition and right mindset, the more rewards you’ll receive. Utilize the information I’ve provided you. Take action today. I promise the rewards are beyond your imagination.

I hope this healthy eating video series has been helpful to you. I’ll continue to share my knowledge and experience about eating healthy at Hungry Gopher.com
